Six years ago, Cassiel Knight of Champagne Book Group selected The Salignac Legacy from amongst the many pitches on offer in a PitMad flurry, and published it in November 2020. Along the way, she paired me with various editors, Jodi Christensen and Debbie Davis in particular, who took the time to teach writing craft as they edited the works. For that, I'm endlessly grateful.
Following The Salignac Legacy, CBG published The Beaulieu Birthright, Her Holiday Fling and had Happy with the Millionaire under contract and ready to go.
At the beginning of this year, the company, already struggling, changed hands, but the new owners weren't able to save it, and made the difficult decision to shut up shop this week.

Generously, they have permitted us authors to retain the covers they developed if we remove the CBG logo. Right now, I'm going through the process of replacing CBG logos with those of Red Aventurine Press which I have been using for my self-published titles:
Return to Calypso Station, and On Board with the Secret Billionaire.
I'm also doing a quick edit of each book, updating information, and undertaking some minor repairs I'd noticed in the previous products. With luck, they'll all be back up for sale on the larger platforms by the end of the month. Meanwhile, I can supply e-books to everyone, and paperbacks to Australian and New Zealand residents, through my payhip site.
It's the end of an era for me, but, as always, I'll be looking forward to what comes next.
In the meantime, keep reading.
Much love,
Caenys
